Questions before you begin

Is Plumelin only a text editor?

No. The editor is at the centre, but the outline, fictional world, feedback and exports all stay in the same project.

Can I write offline?

Writing is local-first. Synchronisation then lets you find the project on your other devices or collaborate without making the draft depend on a permanent connection.

Which devices does Plumelin work on?

In the browser on Windows, macOS, Linux and Chromebook, as well as on tablets and phones. Chrome and Edge install it as an app; Firefox opens it in a tab, offline included.

Can I import an existing manuscript?

Yes. Plumelin targets DOCX, EPUB, PDF, RTF, Markdown, plain text, HTML, Fountain, FDX and zipped Scrivener projects.

Which English variant does the app use?

The interface uses clear international English. Country-specific legal wording and paid availability remain separate launch decisions.
